Wasatch Concrete Lifting relocates to the St. George area every winter — December through February — to serve Southern Utah homeowners and businesses. That means you get the same professional polyurethane foam lifting service as our Wasatch Front customers, with a contractor who is right here in your community for the season.
We’re not a company driving down from Salt Lake City for a single job. During the winter months, St. George is home base. We’re local, available, and fully set up to serve the entire Washington County area.
Southern Utah’s soil conditions are different from the Wasatch Front, but the end result is the same: sunken, uneven concrete that creates safety hazards and drainage problems.
Washington County soils include expansive clays, sandy desert soils, and caliche layers that don’t compact uniformly. When homes are built on graded and backfilled lots — which is common in St. George’s fast-growing subdivisions — the soil beneath driveways and patios continues to settle for years after construction.
The region’s extreme heat also plays a role. Intense summer temperatures cause soils to dry out and shrink, creating voids beneath concrete slabs. When monsoon rains arrive, water rushes in and erodes those voids further. Over time, slabs have nothing solid to rest on and begin to sink.
Polyurethane foam lifting is especially well-suited to St. George’s climate and soil conditions. Our foam is waterproof — it won’t wash away or erode when the monsoon rains hit. It’s lightweight, so it doesn’t add significant load to already compromised soils the way traditional mudjacking slurry does. And because it cures in 15–20 minutes, there’s no lengthy downtime in the desert sun.
Most importantly, foam jacking costs roughly half of what full concrete replacement costs. In a market where concrete contractors are busy and replacement costs are high, lifting your existing concrete is almost always the smarter financial decision.
We are on-site in the St. George area December through February each winter. If you’re planning a project for the winter season, reach out early — our schedule fills up quickly once we’re in town.
We also travel to Southern Utah for larger commercial jobs outside of the winter window. If you have a significant commercial project, call us year-round and we’ll make it work.
Call (801) 230-9798 — even if you’re not sure whether we’ll be in the area when you need us. We’ll figure out the best timing for your project.
